Email Campaign - March 2009 - Exisiting Facility Checklist CD-ROM
March 12, 2009
Dear Colleagues:
I wanted to take this opportunity to feature one of our newest programs:
Learn How to Improve Customer Service and Access for People with Disabilities.
Does your existing building meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines for barrier-free access? With this easy to use Existing Facility Checklist CD and Companion Guide you can stay up-to-date with federal access requirements. Make sense of ADA requirements as you walk through the elements of access obligations with photo examples and audio training. Learn how to identify and remove barriers—and even enjoy a potential tax write-off for doing so.*
*Ask your tax consultant for details!
Improve access to your building and avoid the possible costly lawsuits with this checklist of accessibility essentials to achieve ADA compliance. Developed by the Rocky Mountain Disability and Business Technical Assistance CenterThe Existing Facility Checklist CD and companion guide follows the four ordered priorities for barrier removal recommended in Title III of the ADA. It includes chapters on Accessible Approach and Entry, Access to Goods and Services, Access to Restrooms, and Accessibility to Amenities.
This multi-media package will be a valuable aid and help you improve customer service while complying with the physical barrier removal requirements of the ADA. The CD checklist helps you visually grasp simple access changes to existing facilities. It includes photos, diagrams, images, audio and text to clearly demonstrate information on accessible parking spaces, paths of travel, signage, drinking fountains, toilets and stalls, service counters, telephones, alarm systems, mirrors, showers, ramps, paths of travel and more.
In addition, you’ll appreciate the 31 page Companion Guide including 90 full color illustrations allowing you to reference several barrier scenarios and providing the resolution to each. The CD-ROM and companion guide make an excellent package for businesses owners, contractors, architects, disability advocates, agencies or anyone who wants to ensure all people have access to the goods and services a facility has to offer.
Program Contents: CD-ROM (includes presentations in both standard version and accessible version for the visually impaired) and 31 page pdf Companion Guide.
Price: $89.95
