Sexuality & Relationships
Even in this day and age when the subject or even the words “sex video” appear it will catch the attention of most of us.  But, add the word “disability” to “sex videos” ….now it really becomes a head-turner.  However, in reality it should be no big deal.  Adults of all abilities should be free to enjoy relationships.  The fact that a person is disabled does not mean they can’t have a good life or good sexual relationships.

Program Development Associates has long supported professionals who understand the importance of disability sexuality resources.  This includes those professionals that provide service to adults and students with intellectual disabilities.  People with intellectual disabilities have a wide range of abilities and disabilities and many have difficulty understanding concepts presented in the abstract.  That is why disability sex education and resources including videos can be effective in social skills relationship training.

Program Development Associates’ disability sexuality resource category contains curriculum and videos that will help to facilitate sexuality training in a variety of topics. PDA’s resources show how to recognize and prevent abuse as well as information for parents of children with autism.  We also have resources for parents, professionals and people with disabilities that are designed to help open avenues of communication about sexuality.  These are just a few of the resources available through Program Development Associates that we think will catch the attention and turn heads of disability professionals seeking quality resources on the subject of sexuality and relationships.
